This year, in the face of the economic downturn and epidemic prevention and control and other multiple challenges, the Beibu Gulf Port Group has taken the initiative to successfully introduce iron ore spot trade, foreign trade grain, limestone, bauxite and other goods, the increase in the trend of the rise, the smooth shipment of coal, January to October, Fangcheng Port Terminal non-metallic ore throughput increased by 180.8% year-on-year.
Focusing on traditional advantageous cargoes such as non-ferrous metals, coal, iron ore, sulfur and chemical fertilizer, Fangcheng Port Terminal has widely applied the management mode of 'high-quality cargoes' and further built up the competitive advantage of traditional cargoes through strict on-site operation assessment, analysis, record keeping and process improvement. From January to October, the throughput of non-ferrous metals increased by 24.6% year-on-year.
In terms of strengthening hardware and software capacity building, the bulk cargo specialized center yard project at Fangcheng Port Terminal was put into operation, the first charging and changing power station at Beibu Gulf Port and the automated container yard at berth 513 of Fangcheng Port Terminal were put into operation, laying a solid foundation to meet the berthing demand of ships and serve the door-to-door supply of port-side enterprises.
At the same time, with the promotion of intelligent cargo handling (Phase II) transfer project and bulk cargo intelligent depot management system V2.0, Fangcheng Port Terminal has realized the transformation of cargo handling and transfer operation to data-based, systematic and intelligent. 14 new large port machinery equipment have increased the port cargo throughput capacity to 9.8 million tons/year and container handling capacity to 500,000 TEU/year.
In terms of container business, limestone has been ushered in a new logistics mode of railroad port collection, and Fangcheng Port Terminal has introduced the domestic trade container of potash from the north, expanded the container of coiled steel, and the chemical fertilizer from Yuntian can be transported to Tieshan Port in Beihai through the 'shuttle bus' liner of Fangcheng Port for unpacking and export.
In addition, Fangchenggang terminal also launched a series of coordination mechanisms with port units. Take measures to speed up the progress of customs quarantine by sharing information with customs and coordinating with pilot stations to arrange early berthing and early departure of vessels. Play the road and port coordination mechanism, timely coordination to solve the unfavorable factors affecting the shipment.
