On October 26, Dalian Port Changxing Island 100,000-ton crude oil terminal passed the acceptance of port opening and was officially opened to the public.
It is understood that the project is invested and constructed by Dalian Changxing Island Port Investment and Development Co. The project is located in the inner waters of the east breakwater of the north port area of the north coast of Dalian Changxing Island, with a length of 334 meters and a 'butterfly' type arrangement, with 6 bollard piers, 2 docking piers and a working platform. The design annual throughput capacity is 7.94 million tons, with reliable berthing of 10,000-ton ships.
As a supporting transit berth of 300,000-ton crude oil terminal and 4.75 million cubic meters bonded tank area, the project will form an integrated crude oil storage and transportation system with 300,000-ton crude oil terminal and crude oil storage area, which can provide offshore crude oil (fuel oil) receiving and transfer services for petrochemical enterprises in Northeast China and Bohai Sea Rim, Shandong ground refining, West China Island Petrochemical Industrial Park, Songmu Island Petrochemical Industrial Park and Changxing Island Port Petrochemical Enterprises. It can also provide bonded storage, bonded delivery and commercial reserve services for domestic and foreign large customers.
The official opening of the 100,000-ton crude oil terminal further improves the crude oil transportation capacity of Changxing Island, which will strongly promote the implementation of the national strategy of revitalizing the old industrial base of northeast China and the development and construction of Liaoning coastal economic belt, and at the same time, it is of positive significance to enhance the national oil reserve capacity and guarantee national energy security.
On October 27, Dalian Auto Terminal 3# and 4# berths of Liaoning Port Group officially passed the opening acceptance of the port, which will further enhance the international service capacity and competitiveness of the port, and will strongly promote the construction of international hub for commercial vehicles at Dalian port, and better assist the opening up of Northeast China with high quality and the construction of Dalian Northeast Asia International Shipping Center.
Dalian Auto Terminal is one of the first specialized ro-ro terminals put into operation along the coast of China. After more than ten years of construction and development, its annual throughput exceeds 800,000 units, and it is the northern hub of domestic merchant car north-south sea transport, the basic port of merchant car foreign trade import and export in northeast China, and the demonstration port of merchant car sea-rail intermodal transport.
