On the morning of the 21st, Xiamen Port Songyu operation area, three ultra-large container ships docked at berth, nervous and orderly loading and unloading operations. This is the port of Xiamen for the first time to achieve three ultra-large container ships of more than 150,000 tons 'in line' and rely on the operation. This week, Song Yu operation area is expected to complete eight 150,000 tons and more container ships berthing operations (including five for 200,000 tons).
It is understood that the berthing of the three ships are shipping giant Maersk operations, respectively, 'Maersk Mike Kenemuller' ship (nearly 400 meters), 'Elinorna Maersk' ship (nearly 400 meters), 'Gounowo Maersk' (366 meters), all of which are 150,000 tons and above ultra-large container ships. After the completion of loading and unloading operations, two of the giant ships will depart for Singapore, Malaysia, Morocco and other important ports in countries and regions along the 'Belt and Road'.
The berthing of super-large ships has very high requirements for the water depth conditions, equipment and facilities of the port, and supporting cooperative guarantee mechanism. With the geographical advantage of being the closest to the main channel of Xiamen Port, advanced facilities and equipment and first-class service level, the Song Yu operation area of Xiamen Port has continuously and steadily provided high quality and efficient services for shipping companies, and has become a popular 'stopping point' for global giant ships.
