The world's first production! Zhenjiang, China!
On the morning of 20th November, 2024, Zhenjiang Shipyard successfully launched ‘Rotra Futura’, a 15,600 DWT wind power transport vessel developed and built in bulk for European customers to transport offshore wind power components.
It is reported that the ship is a new generation of offshore advanced wind power transport vessel independently developed and produced by Zhenjiang Shipyard, with a length of 167.6m, a beam of 26m, a design draught of 7.3m, a deadweight tonnage of 15,600, a deck area of about 3,500m2, and is equipped with three Liebherr cranes and a unique 1,500T heavy load tailgate and positioning piles to match the system, which is capable of completing the loading and unloading operations of the offshore wind power components under the condition of the very small quay. The vessel is equipped with three Liebherr cranes and a unique 1500T heavy-duty tailgate and positioning piling system. The vessel adopts the hydrodynamically optimised design vessel type and Wärtsilä's most advanced propulsion system, which has obvious advantages over the current standard vessel type and can reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions by 15%. The successful construction of the vessel will also improve transport efficiency, reduce transport costs and enhance environmental performance, providing strong support for the rapid development of the global offshore wind industry.
In order to ensure the smooth launching of the new shipbuilding, Zhenjiang Maritime Safety Bureau gives full play to its professional advantages, service forward, through the first-responsibility system, one-stop processing, ‘one-on-one’ consulting, time-limited settlement and other initiatives to open up a ‘green channel’ to enhance the quality of service. Joint Zhenjiang Shipyard carefully formulated a detailed operational programme, using ‘VTS + site’ linkage to accurately grasp the dynamics of ship navigation, the deployment of three sea patrol boats, an escort boat to participate in on-site maintenance and protection, the implementation of the whole process of monitoring and reminding, all-round maintenance of the new ship safety launching and berthing. In recent years, in order to implement the requirements of Jiangsu Maritime Bureau to serve the construction of ‘Water Transportation Jiangsu’, Zhenjiang Maritime Bureau has actively acted to serve the construction of Zhenjiang City's offshore equipment and high-tech ship featured supporting cluster, cooperate with Zhenjiang City to carry out research on the cutting-edge technology of high-tech ships, and support the Zhenjiang Shipyard and Dazhu Heavy Industry to do a better job of making the special ships, and strive to build Asia's largest special ship manufacturing base. Asia's largest special shipbuilding base. The next step, Zhenjiang Maritime Bureau will continue to implement the new development concept, based on maritime duties, play a functional advantage, with high-quality service to promote the high-quality development of Zhenjiang port and navigation economy.
