Approved by the Central Military Commission, 076 amphibious assault ship first ship named “People's Liberation Army Navy Sichuan ship”, port number “51”. Sichuan ship is the Navy's new generation of amphibious assault ship, is to promote the development of naval transformation and construction, enhance the far-sea combat capability of the key equipment, full-load displacement of more than 40,000 tons, set up a double-island superstructure and full longitudinal through the flight deck, the innovative application of electromagnetic catapult and blocking technology, can be equipped with fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, amphibious equipment, and so on. After the ship is launched, it will carry out equipment debugging, mooring test, navigation test and other work as planned.
