Official Announcement! China's third 10,000-tonne ocean-going hospital ship unveiled
Recently, China's independent design and construction of the third 10,000-tonne ocean-going hospital ship ‘auspicious ark’ in the Yellow Sea in a sea area to carry out multi-factor, full-process medical rescue exercise.
This time the medical personnel including internal medicine, surgery, emergency critical care and other departments of experts backbone. At the rehearsal site, the medical staff urgently started all kinds of treatment programmes according to different ‘injuries’, and quickly completed the surgical preparations; the medical retention group continued to monitor the vital signs of the ‘sick and wounded’, and was ready to respond to emergencies.
Damage control drills also synchronised, officers and men of a number of operational actions coherent implementation; the entire exercise in an orderly manner, the crew and medical personnel in close collaboration, flexible disposal of various emergencies.
In addition to medical rescue drills, the ‘auspicious ark’ hospital ship also accompanied the delivery of medical activities. The expert diagnosis and treatment team penetrated into the frontier islands and grass-roots front line, so that the officers and soldiers ‘without leaving home’ can hang up the expert number.
The hospital ship ‘Lucky Ark’ is China's third 920-type hospital ship, built by Guangzhou Shipbuilding International, gangway number ‘868’.
As China's newest and most advanced hospital ship, ‘Lucky Ark’ is equipped with more advanced equipment and better functional layout. The ship is equipped with advanced medical equipment and experienced medical staff, including 8 operating theatres, 2 class 1,000 clean operating theatres, 6 class 10,000 clean operating theatres, etc. In particular, a PCR laboratory has been added.
In particular, the PCR laboratory has been installed and the isolation ward has been expanded, so that the hospital ship has the ability to detect and diagnose infectious diseases in bulk and to receive and dispose of them.
Auspicious Ark’ can provide early treatment at sea and part of the speciality treatment for the wounded in wartime; in normal times, it can carry out maritime medical rescue missions, provide medical services for the fleet and troops stationed in remote areas such as islands and reefs as well as carry out international humanitarian rescue missions, etc. In addition, “Auspicious Ark” has been equipped with a PCR laboratory and expanded isolation wards, so that the hospital ship has the ability to detect and diagnose infectious diseases in bulk and receive them.
In addition, the hospital ship ‘Lucky Ark’ not only has outstanding advantages in field surgery, capable of dealing with bulk explosion injuries, burns and other special injuries, but also can cope with the earthquake, tsunami and other sudden natural disasters caused by trauma, infection and other cases, to give play to the advantages of humanitarian rescue.
